Fall Junior Hunter Field Days Set for Washington and Cecil Counties
When & Where: Cecil County, September 14 & Washington County, September 28
Youth with an interest in hunting, shooting sports and wildlife management are invited to participate in a fall Junior Hunter Field Day event. Staff from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and representatives from sporting and conservation groups will use hand-on activities to teach participants about natural resources stewardship, wildlife biology, shooting safety and ethical conduct in the field.
Junior hunters will learn about trapping, archery, sporting clays and .22 rim fire shooting with professionals in a safe, mentored setting. All equipment will be provided, with certified instructors overseeing all shooting activities.
