CAUGHT Doing Great Service – Michele Sanders

Michele is pictured (LtoR) with Deputy Secretary Nelson Reichart, Secretary Ellington Churchill, Deputy Secretary Leigh Williams, MCP Lt. Rebecca Labs and Chief Mike Wilson.

Although Michele Sanders is a new addition to the Maryland Capitol Police Annapolis Detachment, she has worked for the Maryland Capitol Police for four years. She is an outstanding employee who takes courteous customer service very seriously and can always be counted on to treat people with respect and professionalism. Ms. Sanders portrays the department in a very positive light and takes on any task with a smile.

“Ms. Sanders has brought her organizational skills to the detachment,” said Chief Mike Wilson. “There has been a noticeable difference in Annapolis due to her efforts.”

Ms. Sanders also provides invaluable assistance to detachment personnel and supervisors, completing filing, assisting with compiling documentation for Workday, and assuring that important information is disseminated to employees. She also tracks a variety of materials required for record-keeping, particularly program reporting. In addition, she updated and improved MCP’s flag program and rally procedures.

“We have all benefitted from the efficient, results-oriented work atmosphere Ms. Sanders creates,” Chief Wilson said. “I attribute improved communications among staff in the Annapolis Detachment to her.”

Michele Sanders was “caught doing great service” in February this year.
